These single coil pickups are drop-in replacements for standard size Gibson humbucking pickups and offer

• These single coil pickups give a very fat Strat kind of tone and are drop-in replacements for standard size Gibson humbuckers.
• The HS-90A pickups are available in a variety of configurations, call Pete to discuss the tone you’re after & he will make the pickups accordingly.
• Scatter wound coils
• External braided shielded output leads
• Grounded shielding surrounding the coil effectively reduces noise from external electric fields
• Wax potted under vacuum to eliminate microphonics
• Neck pickup is reverse polarity reverse wound with respect to the bridge
• Bridge and neck pickups are wound for good volume balance
• These custom pickups will fit in all guitars routed for standard size humbuckers.
• Each set of HS-90A pickups includes nickel plated 3-48 machine screws and silicone tubing sections cut to the correct length for mounting these pickups to a pickguard or standard humbucker mounting ring.

“The Vintage Vibe HS90A pickups are just right for my LP. Not very noisy. They have a P-90 style bobbin with Alnico V rod magnets for poles instead of steel screws. This gives them a frequency response comparable to Fender single coils. But they still nail that fat woody P-90 character. He also can make them with steel screw poles and bar magnets if you wanted.”

“I wanted the vintage P-90 tone w/o the razor edged highs. I also asked that Pete calibrate the two pups (for a balanced tone when switching between positions) and a RWRP on one of the pups so that in the middle position would give me a humbucking mode. After I first installed them, I took the guitar to the local Guitar Center and received tons of complements on the tone and looks of the pups.
